Day 1 ARRIVAL TO BARCELONA - ZARAGOZA

Arrival to Barcelona Airport by scheduled flight. After entry formalities you will depart to Zaragoza. Upon arrival, check in to hotel. Overnight.

Day 2 ZARAGOZA – CALATAYUD - MADRID

Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast begin HD sight seeing tour in Zaragoza. Zaragoza is a city without comparisment. Its Iberian, Roman, Muslim and Christian history has gradually lent form to her present, to make it a city that is not only beautiful but full of surprises. You will be able to see Cathedral of Nuestra Señora del Pilar (Our Lady Pilar), which during the spanish civil war was protected by the Black Pilarica (Saint of Zaragoza) from the falling bomb which did not explode. In the afternoon departure towards Madrid and stop in Calatayud to visit the Monasterio de Piedra (entrance not included). In 1194 King Alfonso II and his wife gave the Arab castle known as "Pena Vieja'' to the monks of Poblet so that they could build a monastery and strengthen the spread of the Christian faith throughout the region. Continue to Madrid. Upon arrival, check in to hotel. Overnight.

Day 3 MADRID – TOLEDO - MADRID

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast begin HD sight seeing tour in Madrid. Madrid is a multi-faced city, with its Arab-fortress which origins to the court days during the reign of Philip II and that of Charles III, at which period some important building schemes were undertaken and, finally, present day Madrid, one of the most important European capitals. We'll drive past such well-known avenues as those of Gran Vía and Castellana; famous squares such as the Plaza de España, Oriente, Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Atocha, Neptuno, Cibeles, Puerta de Alcalá, Colón and Plaza de castilla; quarters of mayor historical relevance such as that of the Austrias, the Borbouns and Salamanca; the Oeste and Retiro parks; commercial and financial areas coliseums such as the bullring, the Santiago Bernabeu soccer stadium, University campus, etc. In the afternoon departure towards Toledo. Toledo was declared a World heritage site by UNESCO in 1986 for its extensive cultural and monumental heritage as one of the former capitals of the Spanish Empire and place of coexistence of Christian, Jewish and Moorish cultures. Many famous people and artist were born or lived in the city, including Garcilaso de la Vega, Alfonso X and El Greco. Toledo also was well known for historic events such as the Visigothic Council of Toledo. You will be able to see the Cathedral of Santa Maria (entrance not included), a 13th century high gothic cathedral, the Santo Tome Church (entrance not included) with the El Greco’s best known work “The Burial of the Count of Orgaz” an exceptionally large painting, clearly divided in two zones, the heavenly above and the terrestrial below, and the former synagogue of Santa Maria la Blanca (entrance not included), a religious building erected in 1180 (according to the inscription on a beam). Its stylistic and cultural classification is not simple, because it was constructed in Christian territory by Islamic constructors for Jewish use and owners. It is considered a symbol of the cooperation of the three cultures who lived in the Iberian peninsula in the middle ages. Return to Madrid. Overnight.

Day 4 MADRID - VALENCIA

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast depart to Valencia. Upon arrival, check in to hotel.
Afternoon free. Overnight.

Day 5 VALENCIA - BARCELONA

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast begin HD sight seeing tour in Valencia. Valencia is one of the liveliest Mediteranean cities, known for its numerous gardens. Tour of the old part of the town includes the cathedral with a bell tower of 8 angles – the symbol of the town (entrance not included), Puerta del Real, Puerta de la Trinidad, Puerta de las Serranos and a walk through the lively streets of Barrio de Carmen. In the afternoon depart to Barcelona.
Upon arrival, check in to hotel. Overnight.

Day 6 BARCELONA

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast begin HD sight seeing tour in Barcelona. You will start your tour passing by the Plaza Catalunya, Via Laietana, driving along the Paseo Colon past the Monument of  Christopher Columbus and up to the top of Montjuic, with the fabulous Royal Palace and its fountain, from where you'll enjoy a panoramic view of the city. The tour will continue along the Paseo de Gracia to see outside Gaudi's famous apartment buildings including Casa Batllo then visit Gaudi's fabulous Guell Park declared an artistic monument and world heritage site by UNESCO. You will visit the Spanish Village (entrance not included).
Free for lunch on own. Free afternoon for personal activities and shopping. Overnight.

Day 7 BARCELONA – MONTSERRAT – FIGUERES – GIRONA – APT BARCELONA

Breakfast in the hotel. After breakfast depart to Montserrat. You will drive through picturesque little villages and you will arrive at the incomparable setting of the mountain of Montserrat, which rises majestically to 1235 meters. Then visit the Royal Basilica of Montserrat, which holds the famous Virgen Moreneta, the 'Black Virgin'. The Basilica has been one of the most important pilgrimage sites in Spain for hundreds of years. Continue to Figueres. You will drive through north east part of Catalonia, one of the most picturesque area of the province. Upon arrival to Figueres you will visit one of the most fascinating museums in the world, Teatre Museo Salvador Dali (entrance not included) the largest surrealistic object in the world, occupies the building of the former municipal theatre, a 19th century construction which was destroyed at the end of the Spanish civil war. On its ruins, Dalí decided to create his museum. In the afternoon continue towards Girona. Upon arrival you will be able to enjoy a walking tour through one of the four capitals of Catalonia. The labyrinth of streets will lead you to the widest one nave gothic cathedral in the World, you will pass by Jewish quarter and Arab baths. From the Murallas (Wall of Girona) you will have a nice overview on the city. The tour will continue with the stroll by colourful Onyar houses, Las Ramblas and finish on independence square. Return to Barcelona Airport in time for the scheduled flight.
